Micro-Pedi from Emjoi Review

The sun is shining and the snow is officially gone! You know what that means? Well, for me it means I am busting out my old reliable flip flops! Too bad my feet look absolutely atrocious from such a cold and dry winter. Normally I would head to a salon and get a pedicure for the start of sandal season, but I am skipping that this year. I was able to get rid of my tough heel callouses with one easy to use tool (I promise) the Micro-Pedi from Emjoi.

This battery-operated foot buffer is ideal for at home pedicures and is a safe alternative to harsh, metal scrapers. Patented, micro-mineral rollers rotate 30 times a second to quickly and easily buff away rough, callused skin on feet to reveal supple, touchable feet.

Micro-Pedi from Emjoi is the easiest pedicure tool I have ever used, and I have tried quite a few. The “cheese grater” style is, in my opinion, a little dangerous and can hurt. The “Egg style” I simply can’t use because I have carpal tunnel and they are hard for me to hold. The Micro-Pedi is not only easy to hold, but it’s pretty powerful. It also doesn’t hurt at all. You can easily choose how much callous you want to shave off.

Before. Seriously- My feet were yuck.

A Few Things I Noticed about Micro-Pedi:
Buy the extra roller refills, the coarser ones. If you have super tough callouses like I do, you will need the coarser rollers.
The Micro-Pedi can get pretty messy. I would recommend using it in the bathroom or over a towel (If you have carpet), or on a hard surfaced floor. That way you can easily clean up the ‘foot skin’. I know- Ew.
After each use, make sure to brush off the rollers and clean up the Micro-Pedi with the enclosed brush. Clean tools are important.
If you use the more abrasive rollers, and then the smoother roller on top of that, you end up with feet that are as soft as a baby’s butt. Seriously.

When I used this, I thought to myself that the only thing for me that would make it better would be if it was rechargeable instead of requiring two AA batteries. Then, while I was browsing their website, I noticed they actually DO have rechargeable units! Awesome for someone like me who probably will use this thing pretty regularly, and always seems to be out of batteries.

The Micro-Pedi is priced at $39.95. Worth it in my opinion. That’s the price of one pedicure!
